Building the best bullets requires testing them on a daily basis. Testing hundreds of bullets a day wears out rifles. Years ago, Nosler began building our own rifles to use during the test-firing of our bullets. To be sure that the tests were evaluating the bullet and not the rifle, our gunsmiths learned how to build very accurate, reliable rifles. The action is then mated perfectly with a hand-lapped, Pac-Nor rifle barrel. Stock to rifle fit is carefully matched, and the barrel is completely free-floated for the utmost in accuracy. All of our rifles feature Cerakote ceramic coating on all metal parts to provide complete protection from corrosion and the elements. The internal surfaces of the action also feature a coating of Micro-Slick which is another ceramic-based coating that provides both protection from the elements and dry lubrication. The Nosler Model 48 Trophy Grade rifle features the proven Model 48 action mated to a Chrome-Moly barrel. Aluminum bedded in a Bell and Carlson stock, the TGR is designed to hunt. When used with Nosler Trophy Grade ammunition, the TGR is guaranteed to shoot sub-M.O.A. three-shot groups at one hundred yards. The Model 48 Legacy was designed by our founder John A. Nosler to be the perfect hunting rifle including all of the features you need and excluding everything you don’t. The Legacy features a matte black Cerakote finish and Walnut stock for a truly classic American rifle. The Legacy is backed by an accuracy guarantee of three-quarters of an inch or better three-shot groups at one hundred yards when used with Nosler ammunition. The Model 48 Custom Varmint is designed to provide the very utmost in accuracy for taking varmints at any range. Chambered for the most popular varmint cartridges and featuring a heavy-contour barrel and Coyote Tan stock, the Model 48 Custom Varmint comes with a one-half inch three-shot one-hundred yard group guarantee when used with Nosler ammunition. We feel that the Model 48 Custom Sporter is the very finest hunting rifle available today. Featuring a Match-grade stainless barrel, one-piece bottom metal, and our Extreme-Conditions stock, the Custom Sporter is equally at home in the rugged peaks of Alaska or the dusty plains of Africa. The Model 48 Custom Sporter also comes with an accuracy guarantee of three-quarter M.O.A. three-shot groups at one hundred yards when NoslerCustom ammunition is used.
