Nosler factory 2nds or “blems” can be a couple of different things. Most often than not, our 2nds are actually overruns. These bullets were being made for one of our many ammunition loading partners and we ran over on the run by a few thousand. We will bag them up and sell them as a 2nd.

They can also be cosmetically blemished bullets. These bullets will have a scratch, stain or mark that makes them not applicable for our “Box” tolerance and we deem them to be a 2nd. This does not hamper performance.

The last thing that could make a bullet a 2nd is the weight variation. This is very seldom, but Nosler runs extremely tight weight regulations on bullets. Once again, you will not notice the difference in performance, but the weights could be +/- .1 of a grain outside our weight specs.
