Mountain Home, ID – April, 2023 – Congratulations to Nosler Sponsored Shooter James Rowe and his teammate, David McNeil, on their 2nd Place finish at the 2023 Snake River Outdoorsman NRL Hunter Match. The course, created by Seth Howard and Brian Neace, was finely crafted and challenging. Target engagements were between 100 and 1000 yards and were set up to mimic pressure situations of a hunt.
The landscape provided natural features that offered great views and hard-to-find targets. To add to the challenge, the stages were blind, meaning that competitors could not see any targets until they were on the clock. Each stage required locating, ranging, and engaging all targets within a limited time of six minutes for teams, and four minutes for individuals. The distances, directions, and positions varied on each stage, challenging competitors to create an efficient plan to shoot under time duress.
Both Rowe and McNeil were equipped with rifles chambered in 6.5 PRC shooting ammunition loaded with Nosler 140gr RDF bullets.
