Nosler’s Millard and Gadarzi Finish in the Top at the Lead Farm Regional Qualifier

Prosser, WA – May, 2023 – Congratulations to Nosler Sponsored Shooter Jake Millard for his recent win at the Lead Farm Precision Rifle Competition with an impressive 82 points and a time of 59.92. Sponsored Shooter Nick Gadarzi followed closely behind taking home third place with 72 points and a time of 68.24.

The two day, multi-venue match, held in Prosser, Washington is a field style event on day one with large open spaces that test the best rifleman’s wind reading and natural terrain shooting. Day ay two focused on more of a traditional rifle range with emphasis on barricades, vehicles and movement. At this regional qualifier match, shooters were faced with target distances ranging from 100 yards to 1400 yards with winds gusting near 30 mph at times.

This was Millard’s first match of the season with a 6mm Dasher barrel, deviating from the 6mm Creedmoor he used to win the Koenig-Ruger PRC match just three weeks ago. Switching to the Dasher, he also switched from running the 6mm 115gr RDF bullets to the lighter 105gr RDF. Other than zeroing the rifle, Jake had not fired a shot since the Koenig-Ruger and felt a bit unprepared for this match. He plugged in a .280 G7 at 2870 fps into his Kestrel and let the sub .5 MOA impacts fly, hitting center on most targets and bringing home another match win.
